Top BSF award The Beaumont Leys School in Leicester has won the top prize of BSF School of the Year, at the Excellence in Building Schools for the Future Awards 2009. The school has benefitted from a brand new site, opened six weeks ahead of schedule and has been developed with Miller Construction as part of the BSF project. The project has created an inspiring learning environment for over 1,000 students and 150 staff, with bright colours, light airy comfortable spaces filled with new, modern equipment and furniture. The new building now includes dance and drama studios and full theatrical facilities in the main hall including sound and light equipment, audio visual facilities including projection screens and performance curtains. These facilities will benefit the students, school and the community as they are suitable for external hire. The drama facilities were designed by Technical Drama Design and supplied by Total Drama Solutions from Stage Systems, who worked in conjunction with the contractors to install the equipment and help make this BSF project the success it has been and will be into the future. |
